Safeguarding & Ethics Policy
The Water Advancement & Innovation Nexus (WAIN) maintains a strict zero-tolerance approach toward exploitation, harassment, and abuse across all field programs, research expeditions, and youth engagements.
1. Protection of Community Reporters & Vulnerable Populations
Civic volunteers and community monitors filing reports through WaterWatch are protected under WAIN confidentiality protocols. Identifying details of whistleblowers and community reporters are never shared publicly or without express written consent.
2. Youth & Student Mentorship Safeguards
All participants in the WAIN Youth Water Professional (YWP) fellowship and Water Academy student mentorship tracks operate under strict ethical supervision codes. Mentors and course instructors are bound by professional codes of conduct prohibiting discrimination and harassment.
3. Confidential Reporting Channel
